The Imperial Brown Stout forms the basis for what later became the Imperial Russian Stout. Contrary to what the name says, the beer is not brown, but black. The taste is round and soft, with notes of coffee, chocolate, dark dried fruit such as figs, raisins and prunes, and even some berries.
