Description
The Kernel Imperial Brown Stout London 1856 - Stout / 9.7% vol / 33 cl.
The Kernel Imperial Brown Stout London 1856 is a historic beer, based on a recipe from the Barclay Perkins archives. The Imperial Brown Stout forms the basis for what later became the Imperial Russian Stout. Contrary to what the name says, the beer is not brown, but black. The taste is round and soft, with notes of coffee, chocolate, dark dried fruit such as figs, raisins and prunes, and even some berries. The finish has good bitterness from the hops, and dark, toasty notes from the malt.
